A Code Blue is declared when cold temperatures of 20 degrees or below create a danger for those without shelter.

New Brunswick, NJ - The plummeting temps and high winds have prompted New Brunswick to issue a “Code Blue” in effect through the morning of Thursday, January 14. Here’s more on what to expect weather-wise this January in Central Jersey.
Residents without adequate shelter from the cold may go to the Elijah’s Promise Soup kitchen, located at 18 Neilson Street overnight. A Code Blue is declared when very cold temperatures of 20 degrees or below create a danger for those without shelter.
Anyone in need of help is advised to call 2-1-1 for assistance with housing and social services.
