East Brunswick's Jax Makes It to American Idol Top 8

Jackie Cole “Jax” Miskanic, 18, of East Brunswick has made it to the American Idol Top 8.

On Wednesday’s show -- Kelly Clarkson theme night - Jax sang one of her lesser-known songs, Beautiful Disaster.

NJ.com said the East Brunswick resident “gave one of her strongest vocal performances to date,’’ and Newsday said she “wowed the judges.”

After the show, Jax tweeted, “Tonight was absolutely surreal. Thank you @AmericanIdol, my #JAXPack family, and especially @kelly_clarkson for making my dream come true.”

Daniel Seavey, 15, was eliminated from the competition Wednesday night, published reports said.
