CHRIST CHURCH KICKS OFF “FIRST SUNDAYS AT FOUR” CONCERT SERIES WITH "PRELUDE", A CONCERT FOR HARP AND ORGAN
NEW BRUNSWICK—Music at Christ Church kicks off its 2012-2013 concert series, “First Sundays at Four,” with a concert featuring harp and organ music, at Christ Church, 5 Paterson Street in New Brunswick, on Sunday, October 7, 2012, at 4 o’clock p.m. The program features Diane Michaels, a sought-after performer and teacher in the metropolitan New Jersey area and harpist for many years at the Rainbow Room at New York City’s Rockefeller Center. Also featured will be organist John Sheridan, the director of music at Christ Church. The program will showcase solo works for harp and organ, as well as a duet for harp and organ and a duet for two harps, in music by Bach, Beethoven, Catalani, Franck, Grandjany, Langlais, Mchedelov, Schocker, and Sweelinck. This is the first of eight monthly concerts, each occurring on the first Sunday of the month, from October 2012 through May 2013, at 4 o’clock p.m. Tickets are available in advance at the Christ Church office or at the door for a suggested donation of $20. Season tickets at a reduced price are also available through the office. Christ Church is handicap-accessible. Free municipal parking is available next door.
