Free Naloxone Kits Given Out In Dunellen Wednesday Night
Many towns in New Jersey, such as Toms River and Hamilton Twp., have offered to distribute the life-saving kits to residents.

DUNELLEN, NJ — The town of Dunellen will be giving out free naloxone kits to the first 25 people who sign up to attend a naloxone training session this Wednesday night.
As the scourge of opiate abuse continues in American, towns giving out naloxone kits to residents is not uncommon. Many towns in New Jersey, such as Toms River and Hamilton Twp., as well as in Massachusetts and Long Island have offered to distribute the life-saving kids to residents. If someone is overdoing on heroin or another opioid, a quick dose of naloxone can revive them. As Patch reported, Naloxone kits are now in place in all Monmouth County high schools.
The training session will be held Wednesday, May 23 at 7 p.m. at the Dunellen First Presbyterian Church at 218 Dunellen Avenue in Dunellen, NJ. This training will be offered in both English and Spanish, and family members, friends, individuals and professionals who are at risk or may be in the presence of someone at risk of an overdose are invited to attend.
