Gas in New Brunswick Drops To $2.09 Per Gallon For Labor Day Weekend
In nearby towns, gas prices have dropped under $2 a gallon.

If you’re planning on driving this Labor Day weekend, it may be easier on your pockets than you were expecting.
According to GasBuddy.com, which compiles and compares fuel prices at 130,000 gas stations across the nation, the average price of a gallon of gasoline in New Jersey has dropped to $2.07 as of Wednesday.

And prices are still dropping, the website states.
In New Brunswick, gas prices have dropped to $2.09 a gallon at the Exxon gas stations on Route 1 north, near Route 18, and on Somerset Street, near How Lane, according to GasBuddy.com.

In South Brunswick, gas prices have dropped to $1.97 a gallon at the Raceway and Valero gas stations, both on Route 1 north, near New Road.
And nearby, at the Raceway gas station on Route 1 south, in North Brunswick, gas is reportedly selling for $1.99 a gallon.
According to that website, Middlesex County has some of the least expensive gas in the state:
- Sayreville: $1.91 a gallon at the Power Fuel on Route 35 north near Tyler Street
- Edison: $1.93 per gallon at Costco on Vineyard Road, near Route 27
- Middlesex Borough: $1.93 at Valero on Lincoln Boulevard and Decatur Avenue
According to AAA-Mid Atlantic, the recent drop in gas prices to “sagging crude oil prices.”
