Highland Park Assault Suspect Caught In Missouri: Prosecutor
Police in Missouri arrested the man suspected of assaulting a woman while she was walking alone in Highland Park the morning of June 5.

HIGHLAND PARK, NJ — Police in Missouri arrested the man suspected of assaulting a woman while she was walking alone in Highland Park on June 5, officials announced.
Officers from Liberty, Mo. arrested 23-year-old Theodomiro Casamiro on Tuesday, June 28 and charged him with second-degree aggravated assault and second-degree kidnapping, a news release said.
Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Highland Park Police Chief Richard Abrams announced his arrest on Friday.

The victim told police she was walking alone near 130 Raritan Avenue at 4 a.m. June 5 when a man approached her and attacked her, officials said when they first announced the investigation.

Officials have not released much more information on what happened.
Edison police helped detectives from the prosecutor's office and Highland Park's department identify Casamiro as the suspect, Ciccone said. Casamiro worked in Edison and was believed to be living in Highland Park, Ciccone said.
Casamiro is incarcerated at the Clay County Detention Center in Liberty, Mo.
