Hillary Clinton Giving Talk In New Jersey Today

Rutgers is paying Clinton $25,000 to speak, and she will begin her talk at 4:30 p.m. today, Thursday, March 29.

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ — Hillary Clinton is back in New Jersey today, Thursday, March 29. She will speak at 4:30 p.m. at the Rutgers New Brunswick campus in a lecture hosted by the Eagleton Institute of Politics.

Due to the crowd size, the venue was changed from its original location at the College Avenue gym: Clinton will now speak at the Rutgers Athletic Center on the Piscataway campus. The event has been sold out for weeks ahead of time. It was free for all to attend, but priority tickets were given to Rutgers students, and then remaining tickets opened up to the public. Rutgers is paying Clinton $25,000 to speak, and that money is coming from an endowment fund, NJ.com reported. The money is not coming from student tuition payments or state aid.

This is a rare public appearance for Hillary, who is back on friendly soil in New Jersey after her presidential loss to Donald Trump in 2016. Hillary was in Montclair this past fall, where she attracted about 1,000 people to a book signing.
