Hot Pepper Eating Contest In Highland Park Aug. 19

They are limited to only 20 registrants and you have to sign up in advance:

HIGHLAND PARK, NJ — Save the date for the Hot Pepper Eating Contest at the Highland Park farmers' market on Aug. 19!

The contest is free to enter.

Local daredevils are invited to the Highland Park Farmers Market to compete by trying the market’s hottest peppers in ascending order. People who drop are rewarded with fresh dairy.

Contestants are required to show up at 3:15 p.m. sharp. Your seat will go to a day-of entry that is present if you do not show up.

The prize will be a Farmers Market Tote filled with an item from each vendor.
