Hot Pepper Eating Contest In Highland Park Aug. 19

HIGHLAND PARK, NJ — Save the date for the Hot Pepper Eating Contest at the Highland Park farmers' market on Aug. 19!

The contest is free to enter.

Local daredevils are invited to the Highland Park Farmers Market to compete by trying the market’s hottest peppers in ascending order. People who drop are rewarded with fresh dairy.

Contestants are required to show up at 3:15 p.m. sharp. Your seat will go to a day-of entry that is present if you do not show up.

They are limited to only 20 registrants because it’s a lot of prep work. If you miss sign-up, do not fret. Show up the day of and you can fill a spot if someone no-shows. Sign up to compete here: https://www.mainstreethp.org/p...

You MUST BE 18 OR OLDER.

The prize will be a Farmers Market Tote filled with an item from each vendor.
