Jack Simons of Hoagland Longo Recipient of the MCTLA Hon. Herman L. Breitkopf Trial Lawyer of the Year Award

Partner at Hoagland, Longo, Moran, Dunst & Doukas in New Brunswick, Jack Simons is this year’s recipient of the Middlesex County Trial Lawyers Association Hon. Herman. L. Breitkopf Trial Lawyer of the Year Award. This award is presented annually to a trial lawyer who most embodies the characteristics exemplified by Judge Breitkopf throughout his distinguished legal career. They include honesty, integrity, intelligence and an unwaivering concern for the welfare of both the bar and its members. 

Jack began his career here in 1988 as an associate and became a partner in 1995.  He currently sits on the firm's executive committee and leads the firm's General Liability Department. Jack is a Certified Civil Trial Attorney and was a past president of both the Middlesex County Trial Lawyers Association and the Trial Attorneys of New Jersey.  He is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, the New Jersey State Bar Association and the Council for Litigation Management. His practice is devoted exclusively to representing defendants in civil litigation and insurance coverage disputes. He has participated in hundreds of cases for trial and has tried numerous cases to conclusion in the Superior Court of New Jersey.
