Joe Biden Is In New Brunswick Right Now
Biden led a noontime rally for Democratic governor candidate Phil Murphy at the Edison Sheraton. Biden then heads to Rutgers this afternoon.

EDISON, NJ — Former vice president Joe Biden was at the Edison Raritan Center Sheraton Thursday morning, Oct. 12, where he led a campaign rally for Democratic governor candidate Phil Murphy and his running mate Sheila Oliver. The rally started at 11:30 a.m. and was held by the Middlesex County Democratic Organization.
And Biden is sticking around Middlesex County today: After that he'll head to Rutgers this afternoon, where he'll talk about sexual violence on college campuses.
Biden's Rutgers speaking engagement is only open to Rutgers students and will be on the College Avenue campus, in the College Avenue Gymnasium. Will Biden address the Harvey Weinstein sexual harassment scandal? Weinstein was a big supporter and fundraiser for Obama-Biden. Rutgers also recently accepted a $100,000 donation from Weinstein for the schools' new Gloria Steinem Chair in Media, Culture, and Feminist Studies, NJ.com reported. Angelina Jolie, Gwyneth Paltrow and Ashley Judd were all reportedly sexually harassed by the Hollywood mogul.

Rutgers said they plan to keep the donation.
"The allegations of sexual assault and harassment of women by Harvey Weinstein are appalling and indefensible," said Dory Devlin, a Rutgers spokeswoman told NJ.com. "More work is needed to advance women's equality and the $100,000 donation by the Harvey Weinstein and the H. Weinstein Family Foundation to help fund the Gloria Steinem Chair in Media, Culture, and Feminist Studies will help those efforts. We think devoting these funds to advance women's equality is a better use of the dollars than returning the donation to Harvey Weinstein and the H. Weinstein Family Foundation."
