July 4th Gun Arrests In New Brunswick
Two men have been arrested in connection with waving a gun at a large crowd on July 4th in a public housing complex in New Brunswick.

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ — Two men have been arrested in connection with waving a gun at a large, unruly crowd on July 4th in a public housing complex in New Brunswick, police said Friday.
At approximately 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 4, New Brunswick officers responded to the Robeson Village public housing complex for a large disturbance in the parking lot area, and reports of a man with a gun. During the incident, Marcellous Goines, 33, of Kendall Park, was arrested and charged with disorderly persons offenses.
During the subsequent days, detectives were able to piece together further details. Alberto Gomez, 22, of New Brunswick was charged as the man who threatened the crowd with a gun. He was arrested without incident at approximately 4 p.m. on Thursday in Robeson Village. He is charged with multiple firearm offenses. The gun and boxes of ammunition were recovered in a wooded area of Jersey Avenue where they were hidden after the incident.
