The New
Brunswick Free Public Library is presenting its seventh annual Photography
Contest! The contest theme this year is "New Brunswick: Our Town".
Simply put: Capture an aspect of New Brunswick (i.e. daily life, businesses,
city history, buildings, pets, parks, etc.) If the picture is not taken in New
Brunswick, please attach information about the subject's connection to New
Brunswick. Photos submitted will also be eligible for recognition if they represent
the "NJ350" theme of New Brunswick history. Submitted photos must be
taken between January 2 and March 15, 2014.
The
contest submission form with complete details is available in the library, and
available for download at http://nbfpl.org/events.html#photo.
Photographs
entered in the contest will be displayed in a group exhibition at the George
Street Playhouse, Heldrich Hotel, and the New Brunswick Free Public Library. A
panel of professional photographers and library staff will judge the
submissions for first, second, and third place. Winners will be announced at
the Photography Contest Exhibition Reception on Thursday, April 24 at 6:00pm at
the library.
