Lisa Lampanelli Bringing New Attitude to George Street Playhouse in New Brunswick

The softer side of Lisa Lampanelli is coming to New Brunswick.
Lampanelli, known for her raunchy comedy and foul-mouthed Comedy Central Roast insults, is embarking on a new one-woman show, and it’s coming to New Brunswick’s George Street Playhouse, nj.com reports.
The shows, titled “Skinny B****: This is NOT a Stand-Up Comedy Show,” take place Wednesday, Aug. 28-Friday, Aug. 30, 8 p.m., according to nj,com.

However, those expecting to see the type of comedy they normally see from Lampanelli will be disappointed.
Lampanelli told nj.com and broadway.com that her upcoming tour will take on a biographical tone. She told broadway.com audiences will find out why she turned out the way she did. She also said there will be plenty of laughs.

Lampanelli recently lost more than 100 pounds following a gastric sleeve surgery, according to nj.com.
