Lustig Dance Theatre will close its 2013-2014 season at the Victoria J.
Mastrobuono Theatre with live music by the New Brunswick Chamber
Orchestra. The highlight of the evening will be the premiere of Lustig's
"Simple Gifts" to Aaron Copland's "Appalachian Spring". LDT's Associate
Artistic Director Bat Abbit will also present a new piece to
Stravinksy's "Dumbarton Oaks", and Lustig will revive "Evening", set to
Benjamin Britten's haunting "Serenade for Tenor, Horn and Strings".
This
will be the final performance for beloved company dancer Peggy Petteway
as she retires from the stage. An evening not to be missed!
This
performance is funded in part by the Middlesex County Board of Chosen
Freeholders/Middlesex County Cultural and Heritage Commission with
assistance thru a grant provided by the New Jersey State Council on the
Arts/Department of State.
