Man's Body Found On Banks Of Raritan River Identified

His family reported him missing Feb. 24. His body was found on the riverbank last Wednesday.

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ — The man whose body was found on the banks of the Raritan River last week has been identified as Jose Reyes, 25, said New Brunswick Police.

He is a resident of New Brunswick. Reyes' family first reported him missing Feb. 24.

At 9:22 a.m. last Wednesday, March 25, his body was found alongside the Raritan River in the New Brunswick area. He was located on the river side of an apartment building, The Edge at Raritan Heights, which is located off Rt. 1 south.

Police do not suspect foul play, although the investigation is continuing, said New Brunswick Police Capt. Amish Shah.

New Brunswick Police and firefighters pulled the body from the riverbank, and Reyes was taken to the county Medical Examiner to determine his exact cause of death.
