Man Hit By Train At New Brunswick Station Thursday Night

The man was hit by a Northeast Corridor train at 10:39 p.m. Thursday. He survived, said NJ Transit:

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ — A man was hit by a train Thursday night at New Brunswick station, said a spokesperson for NJ Transit.

The man survived the train strike, but did sustain serious injuries, said the transit spokesperson Anjali Hemphill.

He was hit by the train at approximately 10:29 p.m. Thursday, by a Northeast Corridor train that had left New York Penn Station and was scheduled to arrive in Trenton at 11:06 p.m.

The man's identity or age was not released by NJ Transit, nor would they speculate how he ended up on the tracks. The incident remains under investigation, they said.

All the passengers on the train that hit him had to disembark and be put on a new train.
