Man Shot At 11 A.M. On New Brunswick City Streets

This happened Thursday. Another New Brunswick man has been arrested and charged:

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ — A 34-year-old New Brunswick man shot another on Lee Avenue and Delevan Street Thursday, said Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and New Brunswick Police Director Anthony Caputo.

The man was shot on the street at 11:07 a.m. Thursday. He flagged down a passerby after he was shot and was taken a local hospital, where he survived the shooting.

Janai Martinez, 34, of New Brunswick has been arrested and charged. He was taken into police custody the same day of the shooting, Thursday.

The victim was known to Martinez prior to the shooting, said police.
