Highland Park, NJ – Meir Flancbaum, Psy.D., has recently become a licensed psychologist in both New Jersey and New York.
A resident of Highland Park, Dr. Flancbaum earned his doctorate in clinical psychology from Rutgers University and completed his internship in child and adolescent psychology at the New York University (NYU) Child Study Center/Bellevue Hospital Center.
He also received specialized training at the Child/Adolescent Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Tic, Trich, and Anxiety Group at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine; the Tourette Syndrome Program at Rutgers University; and the Institute for ADHD and Disruptive Behavior at the NYU Child Study Center.

Dr. Flancbaum is an associate at the Somerset-based Behavior Therapy Associates, where he provides clinical care and training workshops focusing on the evaluation and treatment of children, adolescents and adults with a variety of social, emotional, and behavioral difficulties. He consults to school districts, providing school-based counseling, functional behavioral assessments, behavior intervention plans, ongoing teacher consultation and training in classroom management techniques.
Dr. Flancbaum is the Assistant Research Director at the Tourette Syndrome Program at Rutgers University, and a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
