Middlesex County Ticket Win Jersey Cash 5 Jackpot
A Jersey Cash 5 ticket sold in Middlesex County has won the $179,578 jackpot.

One Jersey Cash 5 ticket sold in Middlesex County won the jackpot after matching all five number drawn on Thursday, Jan. 15.
The jackpot was valued at $179,578. The winning ticket was sold at Krauszer’s, located at 93 Woodbridge Ave. in Highland Park, lottery officials said.
Carole Hedinger, Executive Director of the New Jersey Lottery, said the jackpot-winning ticket was the only one sold for Thursday’s drawing that matched all five numbers. The winning numbers were 8, 19, 29, 38 and 40.

“We are pleased that the winning jackpot ticket was sold at Krauszer’s,” Hedinger said in a news release from the New Jersey Lottery. “For selling this ticket, the retailer will receive a bonus check for $2,000. Overnight, it has become one more ‘lucky location’ for the very fortunate lottery winner.”
Additionally, 2,752 other players won $72,371 in cash prizes in the Thursday drawing, the release said. Eighty-seven players won cash prizes of $403 for correctly picking four numbers and 2,665 people won $14 each for correctly picking three of the five numbers.
