Growing sub shop chain with locations in South Plainfield, North Brunswick, Rahway and Cranbury regularly hosts fundraising events that give back to the community.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Apr. 25, 2014 - NORTH BRUNSWICK, N.J. -- Mr. Subs (www.mrsubs.com) was founded by three college friends that all graduated from Rutgers University at about the same time. Opening their first location at 100 South Plainfield Avenue in South Plainfield was the culmination of a goal of business ownership that began in their waning days on campus.

Since then, they have grown their vision to include three other locations at 1832 Paterson Street in Rahway; 1048 Livingston Avenue in North Brunswick and - their newest location - at 2674 Route 130 in Cranbury. The latest in an area that surely needed more affordable food choices, given all of the businesses and active adult communities in the immediate area.
Home of the 16" Sub and of the Community Fundraiser
Mr. Subs bills itself as "The Home of the 16" Sub", in a world of often slightly more expensive 12" hero sandwiches. This is only one differentiator for their business. The other is that they are a socially conscious business that gives back to their communities by running fundraisers for groups that include: schools and colleges, EMS, fire, police and first aid departments, libraries, veteran organizations, fraternal organizations, charities for those suffering and in need and more.
Up Next - A Pair of Fundraisers for the Linwood PTO
For example, on Monday April 28th and again on Monday, May 19th Mr. Subs II in North Brunswick will host a fundraiser for the Linwood PTO between the hours of 4pm and 8pm each of those days. The store will donate 15% of sales made during the four hour period to the PTO, which expects to use the proceeds for "school assembly programs, class trips, grade level events, student scholarships, teacher mini grants and teacher appreciation," according to the poster the PTO is using to announce the fundraider around town.
Owners Love Giving Back to Their Communities
"We love giving back to the community in this way," explains partner Chuck. "Our food is very popular in all our towns and this popularity makes it much easier for a fundraising group to leverage off that popularity by easily enticing their school communities to turn out and participate. It's a win-win for everybody."
