According to unofficial results, the Board of Education's $197 million budget was approved by a nearly 3:1 margin. The final tally including mail-in votes was 201-73, according to New Brunswick Today.
Incumbents Dale Caldwell and Emra Seawood earned the support of 280 and 277 voters, while political newcomer Patricia Varela came in a close third with 275 votes, according to NB Today.
