New Brunswick Ciclovia To Be Held Sunday
New Brunswick Ciclovia, an open streets event, will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.

New Brunswick Ciclovia will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
The open streets event allows people to bike, walk, run and enjoy activity stations set up along the route.

Streets on the route will be closed to vehicular traffic: Joyce Kilmer Avenue; George Street between Paterson Street and Johnson Drive; and portions of Bayard Street and Paterson Street.
All parked vehicles must be removed from the Ciclovia route by 7:30 a.m. Sunday.

The event is sponsored by New Brunswick Tomorrow, the City of New Brunswick, Johnson & Johnson and Rutgers University. The sponsors also have help from more than two dozen other community organizations.
In Spanish, Ciclovia means bike path. The event began in Bogota, Colombia, where streets are closed every Sunday. Similar events are now held in more than 200 communities worldwide.
