New Brunswick Heart Festival Is This Saturday

This is a free outdoor family-friendly arts and history festival that will run from 3-6 p.m. in the heart of New Brunswick city center.

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ — This Saturday, Aug. 13 will be the free outdoor New Brunswick Heart Festival.

This is a free outdoor family-friendly arts and history festival that will run from 3-6 p.m. in the heart of New Brunswick city center. It takes place in downtown New Brunswick in front of the theaters at Monument Square at 2 Livingston Ave.

It will feature live music and dance performances; dance classes for kids and adults; an arts market; craft vendors; free balloon animals, henna, face painting, and caricatures; arts & crafts activities; games; fun giveaways; backstage theater tours and more.

At this year’s festival, there will also be a few special sections including a Health & Wellness tent hosted by Garden of Healing; readings of famous love letters by actors from Thinkery & Verse; and a History Corner featuring historical interpreters, a printer and a surgeon, who will share what it was like in Middlesex County during the American Revolution.
