New Brunswick High School On Lockdown Friday

Breaking: New Brunswick High School was put into a lockdown Friday morning after a rumor spread that a student had a weapon.

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ — New Brunswick High School was put into a lockdown Friday morning after a rumor spread through the school that a student had brought a possible weapon into the building.

Police did not say what that weapon might have been. At approximately 9:20 a.m. Friday, New Brunswick High School was put into lockdown.

A thorough investigation was conducted by the New Brunswick Police Department and it was determined that there was no weapon brought into the high school or the school’s grounds. The school was returned to its normal operating procedure at approximately 11:35 a.m. Friday, Capt. Dennis Miller of the New Brunswick police department said.
