New Brunswick Middle School Will Be Expanded, Renovated

New Brunswick Middle School is critically overcrowded, said the Schools Development Authority, which is funding the work:

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ — New Brunswick Middle School will be undergoing renovations and an addition will be built onto it this year.

This is to address overcrowding at the middle school.

It remains unknown when work will begin or the full scope of the project, as it was just announced Tuesday, Sept. 13 that the New Brunswick school district received funding for this from the New Jersey Schools Development Authority (SDA).

The SDA is a powerful state agency that funds school district improvements in the poorest towns and cities in the state.

The School Funding Authority identified 16 school districts that it says have "critical facility needs" in some of the state’s neediest towns.

Schools in Passaic, Paterson, Newark, Trenton, Camden and South Jersey all got funding for building renovations, including New Brunswick Middle School.
