New Brunswick Pastor Keith Jones Mourned

Born and raised in New Brunswick, he was the pastor of Grace Worship Center in Somerset.

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ — Pastor Keith Jones was born March 24, 1959 in New Brunswick, NJ, the second youngest child of nine of Pink and Rosie Jones.

He excelled at several sports including track & field and football. He graduated from New Brunswick High School, class of '77, and attended Rutgers University, Livingston College.

He later found his forever love, Donna L. Jones, marrying her just after six weeks of dating in 1980. He and his twin brother, Kevin, started Twins Carpet Cleaning, a family company that he operated for almost 30 years until officially retiring in 2019. He received a teaching and evangelism degree from Easter Bible College in Irvington, NJ, and he was the pastor of Grace Worship Center in Somerset, NJ.

Jones preached with a style that was relatable, making complex spiritual ideas accessible. He was known for saying "Come on Somebody." His compassionate heart and generous spirit was always open to those in need, offering hope and healing through his way of making all feel like family.

He is survived by his wife Donna; children Alysha Brown (Willie Brown), Keith Jones II (Aja Washington-Jones), Eric Jones, Joshua Jones; sisters Jean Pittman, Mary Lockhart (Willie Lockhart), Sherry White, Barbara Jones and Donna Jones; brothers Tommy Jones and Kevin Jones; seven grandchildren and host of other beloved relatives and friends

Funeral services were held December 18, 2025 at Abundant Life Family Worship Church, 259 George St., New Brunswick, under the direction of Anderson Funeral Service.
