New Brunswick Public Library Accepting Entries for Photography Contest
The library will also host three free photography workshops.
The New Brunswick Public Library is currently accepting submissions for the "New Brunswick Unique" photography contest, which challenges participants to capture what makes New Brunswick special in a photograph.
According to the library, participants may submit photos taken in New Brunswick between May 1 and Aug. 3 of this year. If a photo was not taken in New Brunswick, the photographer must include an explanation of the subject's city connection.
Participants may submit up to three photos each.

Submissions must include an 8 x10 inches print, with the name and phone number of the photographer written on the back, and a digital copy via disk, CD-Rom, or by emailing them to Kavita@lmxac.org. Submitted materials will not be returned.
The deadline to submit photos is Aug. 3.

According to the library, photo subjects must be suitable for all ages. Selected photos will be put on display for the public, and New Brunswick residents may be given preference when the winners are selected, according to the library.
Registration forms are available at the library, located at 60 Livingston Ave., or can be downloaded if you click here.
Additionally, the library will host three free community photography workshops, hosted by professional photographers:
"How to Get your Printed Photos to Match Your Screen," will be held at 6 p.m. July 21, hosted by Andrew Darlow.
An intermediate photography workshop, featuring "Capturing the Moment" and "Elements of Composition" will be held at 6 p.m. July 28, hosted by Gus Menezes and Nat Clymer.
"Digital Photo: I took the shot...now what?" will be hosted at 6 p.m. Aug. 4.
Participants are requested to register at the library for the workshop. Refreshments will be available at all three workshops, according to the library.
