NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ — A person was hit and killed by an Amtrak train Wednesday evening at the New Brunswick station, according to Amtrak.
The person was struck by the New York City-bound train at about 6:25 p.m. Wednesday. Their identity has not been released.
The person was trespassing on the tracks when they were hit, according to an Amtrak spokesman. There were no other injuries involved. Amtrak trains were delayed by about three hours Wednesday night as a result.
