Piscataway Teen Girl Killed In Car Crash Monday Night

The fatal crash occurred at 7:41 p.m. Monday on South Randolphville Road in the vicinity of Centennial Avenue.

PISCATAWAY, NJ — A 17-year-old Piscataway teen girl was killed Monday night, Jan. 2 in a car crash, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Piscataway Police Captain Warren Morrison announced.

The teen girl has not been identified by police.

The fatal crash occurred at 7:41 p.m. on South Randolphville Road in the vicinity of Centennial Avenue.

When police and rescue workers got there, they found a single car overturned; the car had struck a pole.

The driver of the vehicle, a 17-year-old teen girl from Piscataway was transported to a nearby hospital where she was later pronounced deceased.

The girl has been identified as a student at Piscataway High School, according to MyCentralJersey. She played on the high school's softball team.

"We are deeply saddened by this loss," Piscataway High School Principal Chris Baldassano said in a letter to parents. "(We) have our crisis management procedures in place to help students with the reaction to this tragedy."
