Registration Now Open for County Slo-Pitch Softball Leagues

The Middlesex County Department of Parks and Recreation has announced open registration for fall slo-pitch softball leagues.

According to a release from the county, leagues will begin playing in late August, and is currently accepting applications for women's, men's, and co-ed teams.

Registration for the men's single and double header leagues is $325, with an additional $100 refundable forfeit fee.

Registration for the women's league is $175, with an additional $100 forfeit fee.

Registration for the co-ed teams is $325, plus a $100 refundable forfeit fee.

Umpire fees for all leagues is $21 per team, per game, according to the county.

According to the county, the schedule is as follows:

All men's games are played at Thomas A. Edison Park in Edison or Warren Park in Woodbridge. 

The single-game men's league plays 6:45 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays, while the double-header game League begins its two back-to-back games at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesdays.

The womens' teams play at Warren Park at 10:30 a.m. on Sundays.

Co-ed teams play at Thomas A. Edison Park or Warren Park, with games starting at 6:30 p.m. or 7:45 p.m. on Thursdays.

Registration materials and payment can be dropped off at the department in person, or mailed to Middlesex County Parks and Recreation Department, ATTN: Alexandra Berry, PO Box 661, New Brunswick, NJ 08903.

Checks can be made payable to Treasurer-Middlesex County, according to the release.

The Department is located at 1030 River Road in Piscataway, and is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. Monday through Friday.
