Rutgers Asks Joe Biden To Speak at Commencement
Rutgers asked the former vice president last fall if he'll speak at the main campus graduation. No word yet if he'll accept.

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ — Newark native Queen Latifah will speak at the Rutgers Newark commencement and Anita Hill will speak at Rutgers Camden.
But who will give the premiere address at Rutgers New Brunswick main campus this spring has not been announced, or clearly even decided yet. TAP Into reported the state university asked former Vice President Joe Biden if he'll speak, but he has yet to confirm.
Biden spoke at Rutgers earlier this fall, and that's when Rutgers asked if he would also speak at commencement.

Two years ago, sitting President Barack Obama gave the Rutgers commencement address, which was a major achievement for the school. Rutgers usually announces who will speak at main campus commencement after its Board of Governors meeting in the spring. Last year it was Steven "Little Stevie" Van Zandt.
"The Rutgers Board of Governors votes to confirm the commencement speaker each year,” Rutgers spokeswoman Karen Smith told TAP Into. “We eagerly await Vice President Biden's decision to set that process in motion.”

During his confirmation hearings for the Supreme Court, Anita Hill accused Supreme Court justice Hon. Clarence Thomas of sexual harassment when she worked for him. But he was confirmed as one of the nation's top lawmakers anyway.
