Rutgers Victim Robbed, Injured Wednesday Night
Four juveniles surrounded a man on Cook/Douglass campus, knocked him to the ground and took his cell phone, police said.
New Brunswick, NJ - Someone affiliated with Rutgers University was robbed Wednesday night on the Cook campus, where Rutgers’ environmental and agricultural buildings are located.
The robbery occurred near the intersection of College Farm Road and Ag Extension Way, campus police said. The victim said he was walking there at about 6:15 p.m. Wednesday when four male juveniles approached him. They demanded his cell phone and then struck him to the ground, he said.
They took his phone and fled in an unknown direction. No weapons were used. Police did not specify if the victim was a student or teacher.

One of the teens was located and taken into custody by campus police shortly after the incident. The victim sustained minor injuries and declined medical assistance.
