Small Fire Evacuates Brower Commons At Rutgers Monday
Two Rutgers employees are being treated for non life-threatening injuries following a small fire Monday in Brower Commons, said the school.

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ — A small fire broke out in the kitchen at Brower Commons on the Rutgers campus Monday morning, according to a school spokeswoman.
Brower Commons is the main Rutgers University dining hall and it is located on the College Avenue campus. Brower Commons was closed following the fire, however it reopened at 4 p.m. Monday with a limited menu.
Two Rutgers employees are being treated for non life-threatening injuries they sustained during the fire and were taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, said Rutgers school spokeswoman Dory Devlin. She did not say specifically how they were injured.

All students in Brower Commons at the time the fire broke out were evacuated.

BREAKING: Brower Commons on College Avenue campus has been closed indefinitely due to a small kitchen fire. All students in the dining hall during the fire had been evacuated, and Rutgers Police and Rutgers Emergency Services are currently on the scene. Further details to come.
