Teen Shot In Piscataway Park Sunday Night

PISCATAWAY, NJ — A 16-year-old boy was shot Sunday in a park in Piscataway, police in that town announced.

The teen was shot at 7:44 p.m. in Irishtown Park, on Mountain Avenue in Piscataway.

The teen, a resident of Middlesex borough, was shot in the arm and he was located by Piscataway Police officer in Middlesex.

The teen told police he had been at the park with his family and friends when he and his brother were approached by two male suspects.

A physical altercation then occurred involving the victim, the victim’s brother and the two suspects. During the altercation, one of the suspects took out a gun and fired it, striking the teen in the arm.

The teen was treated at a local hospital and released. No arrests have been made.
