Volunteers Install Smoke Detectors In Homes In New Brunswick
Volunteers installed 106 smoke detectors; free smoke detectors are available to all New Brunswick residents.

Volunteers from the New Brunswick Fire Department and the American Red Cross installed 106 smoke detectors in one city neighborhood last weekend.
The volunteers went door-to-door in the Remsen Avenue area to install free smoke detectors in homes.
They also replaced 27 batteries in existing detectors, according to city spokeswoman Jennifer Bradshaw.
