Year Of The Rabbit Celebration At New Brunswick Public Library
On Jan. 14, the library will have kung fu presentations and Chinese yo-yo performances, followed by a dumpling-making workshop. All free.
NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ — The New Brunswick Free Public Library will ring in the Year of the Rabbit with a special party Jan. 14.
This is a free cultural event open to the public, and good for children and families.
The library will have kung fu presentations and Chinese yo-yo performances, followed by a dumpling-making workshop. The event will go from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Jan. 14 in the library's Carl T. Valenti Community Room.

Participants will take home the dumplings they make, which symbolize fortune and prosperity for the upcoming new year. Festive refreshments will also be provided.
The Chinese New Year begins Jan. 22 and is the most important holiday on the Chinese calendar with many traditions. Come learn about these traditions and celebrate with us!
