NEW MILFORD, NJ — Voters in New Milford will have a chance to weigh in on the borough's Open Space, Recreation and Historic Preservation Trust Fund in the upcoming election on Tuesday, Nov. 3.

The fund supports parks, playgrounds, basketball, pickleball and tennis courts, as well as recreational fields at Kennedy Memorial Complex, Knights Field, Prospect Park and Warren Street Park. It also supports farmland and historic preservation.

The borough says the maximum contribution would be approximately $10 annually per $100,000 of assessed property value.

Money collected, including interest, must be used exclusively for authorized trust fund purposes.
