1,456 Food Packets To Be Donated To Syrian Refugees
The Presbyterian Church at New Providence will be donating 1,456 food packets to people living in Aleppo, Syria.

NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ — A total of 1,456 food packets will be donated to people living in Aleppo, Syria due to the overwhelming support from the New Providence community and congregations of The Presbyterian Church at New Providence and New Community Church in Garwood.
The Presbyterian Church at New Providence raised $43,680 this Thanksgiving season for their partner Operation Mobilization. Their local teams in Aleppo will deliver food packets to people affected by the devastation of Syria’s Civil War this winter.
Typical food packets consist of several bags of beans, grains, legumes, bottles of cooking oils, canned vegetables, dried milk and sardines.

Operation Mobilization has established a network of on the ground staff and volunteers that live and work with the local people in Aleppo and surrounding areas to reach affected families directly. They have built deep and strong relationships to meet the needs of the community physically, emotionally and spiritually.
"Thank you to the community of New Providence and surrounding area for supporting this outreach to the people of Syria and helping to meet their basic needs at this time when some families don’t know when they are getting their next meal," the church stated.
