• New Providence Marks 25th Anniversary of 9/11 With Memorial Service at Centennial Park (tapinto.net) — New Providence residents gathered Friday evening on Academy Street for a large 25th-anniversary 9/11 memorial service honoring nearly 3,000 victims, including six from the borough. Local officials, clergy, and first responders reflected on the town's response in 2001, the enduring health toll on rescuers, and the importance of unity, closing with wreath-laying, a reading of names, and carnations at the Centennial Park memorial.
