Armed Robbery At Berkeley Heights 7-Eleven Wednesday Night

Breaking: The suspect is described as black man, wearing red Adidas pants, black shirt, partially covered face and carrying a black handgun.

BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ — An armed robbery was reported at the 7-Eleven Convenience Store at 417 Springfield Ave. in Berkeley Heights on Wednesday night, police report.

The suspect is described as a black male, wearing red Adidas pants, black shirt, partially covered face, and carrying a black handgun, according to Berkeley Heights Police Capt. Robert Deitch.

After committing the crime, the suspect fled on foot on June 21 at 10:01 p.m., Deitch said.

The Berkeley Heights Police Department, with the assistance of police officers from New Providence, Long Hill Township, Watchung, Warren, Chatham, the Union County Sheriff’s K9, the Union County Sheriff's Crime Scene Unit and State Police Aviation Unit assisted in the search and investigation.

This matter remains under investigation by the Berkeley Heights Police Department Detective Bureau.
