Bear Is New Providence-Berkeley Heights' Pet Of The Week

NEW PROVIDENCE/BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ — Meet Bear! She has been chosen as New Providence-Berkeley Heights Patch's Pet Of The Week.

"This is Bear. She is a senior gal who was rescued by us three years ago. There isn't much we know about who she was because she was a stray. Recently my daughter was diagnosed as Type 1 diabetic and this dog never leaves her side. She sleeps with her, follows her around the house and is always by her side. She alerts us when our daughter's sugar level drops top a dangerous level. We now always tease saying who rescued who?"
