Berkeley Heights Ranked 20th Safest Town In New Jersey
Safewise released a list of the safest towns in New Jersey this week. Four other Union County towns also made the list.

BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ — The Township has been ranked as one of the safest places to live in New Jersey.
Safewise, a security systems company that conducts surveys on the safest towns in the country, released a list this week on the safest towns in New Jersey. Berkeley Heights came in at No. 20, which is the highest ranked Union County town on the list.
Safewise reviewed the latest FBI Crime Report statistics, comparing the number of reported violent crimes (murder, robbery, rape, and aggravated assault) and property crimes (burglary, larceny-theft, motor vehicle theft, and arson) in each city.

Safewise noted that the state’s violent crime is dropping and 50 New Jersey communities have an average crime rate that is 78 percent less than it is across the country.
