This location will serve as a strategic center of excellence for technology and product innovation. "The innovation lab will specialize in designing use cases around the future of banking, money movement, and commerce. -- The hub will be one of the largest on the East Coast and leverage the diverse talent from New Jersey to elevate prominence of the payments and FinTech industry in the state and beyond," Fiserv released in a statement.

Fiserv CEO Frank Bisignano said the decision to come to Berkeley Heights was employee driven. He listed the favorable work life attributes The Park offers: close proximity to the airport, a hotel on campus, close proximity to the highways, in close proximity to New York, and its many existing and planned amenities.

"We have over 150 financial institutions who are our clients here. Yes, we serve up 12,000 across the globe, but 150 headquartered in New Jersey with over thousands of branches," said Bisignano. "And when you think about businesses, as the largest provider of payments, commerce, and FinTech services to large and small, we serve over 120,000 locations. And yes, ones even in Berkeley Heights and around the neighboring areas of Somerset County and Union County."

“Today Berkeley Heights is gaining another strong partner. I look forward to Fiserv becoming an instrumental piece of the fabric of our community," added Berkeley Heights Mayor Angie Devanney.
