Home for Good Dog Rescue, Pet Supplies Plus Team Up For Dog Adoption Events

Once again Home for Good Dog Rescue and Pet Supplies Plus, both based in Berkeley Heights, New Jersey, will be teaming up for dog adoption events in 2012.  The first of which was held last Saturday at the Pet Supplies Plus store located at 410 Springfield Avenue  in Berkeley Heights, New Jersey. The partnership began last fall when the Pet Supplies Plus store opened.

The adoption events are sponsored and run by Home for Good Dog Rescue, a non-profit dog rescue.  Home for Good moved into their new headquarters, located at 395 Springfield Avenue last month, relocating from Summit, New Jersey. The new Home for Good headquarters is conveniently located across the street from Pet Supplies Plus.

Reflecting on the success of last Saturday’s event, Toni Ann Turco, the President of Home for Good stated "It was a great day for Home for Good as many larger dogs went home". Most people like the cute little puppies, but Saturday’s event was a good day for all rescue dogs.  Many of the dogs were adopted to local residents of Summit, Berkeley Heights, and Cranford. In total 12 dogs were adopted. The larger dogs ranged between 1 and 3 years of age.  Several 9 week old puppies were also adopted. 

In addition to Pet Supplies Plus, Home for Good has teamed up with PetSmart located in Millburn and Pet Valu located in Madison. Adoption events will be held at each location at least once a month. Home for Good will also be present at several street fairs around the area. Adoption events are typically held on Saturdays between 11 AM and 3 PM.

The scheduled Home for Good Adoption Events for February and March are:

February 11th & 12^th - Super Adoption Weekend at PetSmart, 187 Millburn Ave., Millburn, NJ

February 18^th - Pet Valu, 237 Main Street, Madison, NJ

February 25^th - Pet Supply Plus, 410 Springfield Ave., Berkeley Heights, NJ

March 24th - PetSmart, 187 Millburn Ave., Millburn, NJ

March 31^st - Pet Supply Plus, 410 Springfield Ave., Berkeley Heights, NJ
