
Hist. Soc. Craft Fair, Rescheduled, May 16
The Annual New Providence Historical Society Craft Fair will take place on Saturday, May 16 ,9 a.m. – 3 p.m. , the rain date from orig. May 9 date.
As in prior years, this popular activity will take place on the grounds of the society’s Salt Box Museum, 1350 Springfield Ave, New Providence, 07974.
Craft Fair -
Close to a dozen Crafters this year, displaying their specialties on the spacious lawn of the museum. Registered Crafters - The Space Waraku; Second Stage Creations; Lara Andrew Bath and Body Products; Floppy Ear Pottery; House of Wabi; OROZU by AZURE; Irina Nasonova; Pottery by Ilze and BaleCraft Woodworking. Along with a wide variety of Crafters, the society will have a Bake Sale Table, full of delicious home baked goodies. The Salt Box Museum, a mid-1800’s farmhouse, will be open for free public tours.
Plant Sale -
Also, on the grounds that day, the New Providence Garden Club, in it’s 87th year, will hold their annual Plant Sale. You’ll find a wide selection of various plant material, some obtained from local nurseries and garden centers, along with containerized transplants from club members’ home gardens. Be sure to get there early for best selection.
