Close Basketball Game Raises Funds For Berkeley Heights Schools
The Berkeley Heights Education Foundation hosts annual Faculty Basketball Game.

The following is a press release from the Berkeley Heights Education Fundation.
On March 12, the Berkeley Heights community gathered once again for their own version of “March Madness” at the 16th Annual Berkeley Heights Education Foundation Faculty Basketball Game.
Each year, the event draws the community together with teachers, staff and administrators from all schools. The evening was enhanced by the participation of many: Cub Scout Pack 368 kicked off the night with a Flag Ceremony, Middle School Teachers Patty Hetherington and Deb Scialfa performed a beautiful rendition of The National Anthem, a Flash Mob, comprised of students
from Mountain Park School, entertained the crowd followed by dancing and singing by students from Woodruff, Hughes, and Mary Kay McMillian School. The game itself was a nail biter when with only seconds left on the clock, Mike Roof sank a foul shot and broke a tied score leaving the crowd erupting in cheers.
The BHEF gives special thanks to their Partner in Education, Suburban Optik, who generously sponsors the game each year.
The BHEF is a nonprofit organization that raises funds to enhance educational excellence in the Berkeley Heights Public Schools.
