Barbells for Boob's - Beat Breast Cancer

Crossfit 908 in Berkley Heights is doing more than just a workout, they’re teaming up with Mammograms In Action (MIA), a Southern California based non-profit, to host a unique athletic competition called Barbells for Boobs - Amazing “Grace” to raise funds in the fight against breast cancer.  The event will be on October 22nd at 9am, 10 Summit Ave, Berkley Heights, NJ.

Mammograms In Action (MIA) is a 501(c)3 non-profit breast cancer organization with the mission to provide funding for qualified low-income and uninsured women and men who need screening and/or diagnostic procedures in the prevention of breast cancer. Through grants to locally based breast centers and breast health care providers, they provide funding for diagnostics and biopsy as prescribed by a medical doctor. Beginning two years ago with just one location on one day, Amazing Grace has grown rapidly. In 2010, the landmark event spread to 5 countries and 42 U.S. states with participation from over 5,000 athletes resulting in over $300,000 in fundraising and gaining sponsorship from Reebok and The CrossFit Journal. The 2011 Amazing Grace events will be bigger than ever and hope to exceed fundraising goals --- but we need your help!
