Barbells for Boob's - Beat Breast Cancer

Crossfit 908 in Berkley Heights is doing more than just a workout, they’re teaming up with Mammograms In Action (MIA), a Southern California based non-profit, to host a unique athletic competition called Barbells for Boobs - Amazing “Grace” to raise funds in the fight against breast cancer.  The event will be on October 22^nd at 9am, 10 Summit Ave, Berkley Heights, NJ.

Mammograms In Action (MIA) is a 501(c)3 non-profit breast cancer organization with the mission to provide funding for qualified low-income and uninsured women and men who need screening and/or diagnostic procedures in the prevention of breast cancer. Through grants to locally based breast centers and breast health care providers, they provide funding for diagnostics and biopsy as prescribed by a medical doctor. Beginning two years ago with just one location on one day, Amazing Grace has grown rapidly. In 2010, the landmark event spread to 5 countries and 42 U.S. states with participation from over 5,000 athletes resulting in over $300,000 in fundraising and gaining sponsorship from Reebok and The CrossFit Journal. The 2011 Amazing Grace events will be bigger than ever and hope to exceed fundraising goals --- but we need your help!
