The Mountainside Public Library announces a special art show and sale, featuring the works of the late local artist Joe Beierle, on Saturday, December 3 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Mountainside Library.
Joe Beierle, who passed away in May 2011, lived in Mountainside for many decades. Known to many around town as “Tattoo Joe” for the many tattoos drawn on generations of children’s arms, Joe was also an accomplished pen-and-ink and chalk artist who specialized in portraits and Western scenes. These drawings will be on view and sold at the Mountainside Library for one day only. This is a unique chance to purchase an original work of art by an old neighbor and, in a way, pick up a little piece of Mountainside. All items will be reasonably priced. Just in time for the holidays, consider a purchase for yourself or as a gift for someone you know.
All proceeds from the sale will benefit the Mountainside Library’s collection development fund for new books and DVDs. Please be generous. Come early in the day for best selection and thank you for your support.
