Patsy Mink: Ahead of the Majority - New Providence Memorial Library

Hawaii’s Patsy Mink, the first woman of color and first Asian American woman elected to Congress, served twelve terms in the House of Representatives. She was the author of landmark legislation:

Title IX: Amendment of the Higher Education Act that mandated gender equity in education and athletics. Discussion will follow the film and light refreshments with a Hawaiian theme will be served. This event is free and open to the public.
