Images Released Of Man Wanted In New Providence Burglary

New Providence Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a man seen in a video allegedly burglarizing a home in the borough.

NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ — Police have released two still shots from a video taken during a burglary in New Providence last month and are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect.

On Sunday, March 25 at around 5 p.m., two men — who were captured on video speaking to each other in Spanish — broke into a home on Springfield Avenue, New Providence Police reported. (See Related: 2 Men Wanted In New Providence Burglary)

The men allegedly forced open the front door and stole cash and jewelry from inside, police report.

"This burglary has similarities to other crimes targeting Asian families in other jurisdictions," police state.

Anyone with information should call the New Providence Police Detective Bureau at 908-665-1111.

"If your house has an alarm system, activate it when you leave your home. If you have surveillance cameras, make sure they are functioning properly. Do not keep large amounts of cash on hand. If you see something suspicious, alarm the police right away so we can check it out," New Providence Police said.
